Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how BildVue, a sole proprietorship based in York, Pennsylvania ("BildVue," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit bildvue.com (the "Site") or use our services. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information You Provide
When you fill out our contact form or free website audit form, or otherwise reach out, we collect the information you submit — typically your name, email address, business name or website, and the details of your message. If you become a client and pay an invoice online, your payment is processed by our payment provider (see Section 5); we receive confirmation and limited details of the transaction but do not collect or store your full card number.
2. Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. We collect this through server logs and analytics tools to understand how the Site is used and to keep it secure and working.
3. Cookies and Analytics
We use Google Analytics to measure Site traffic and usage. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data to generate reports about visitor activity. This information is aggregated and helps us improve the Site. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiries, provide quotes, and deliver our services;
- To process payments and manage invoices and projects;
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
- To send you service-related communications about your project; and
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
5. Service Providers and Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate, and only as needed for them to perform their function. These currently include:
- Stripe — payment processing. Card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure systems; we do not receive or store full card numbers. See Stripe's privacy policy for details.
- Google Analytics — website usage measurement.
- Google Workspace — our email and business communications.
- GoDaddy — website hosting and email infrastructure.
- Soro — the third-party tool that powers embedded blog content on our Site.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer. Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy.
6. Data Retention
We keep the information you provide for as long as needed to respond to you, provide our services, meet our legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including using reputable providers, encrypted connections for payments, and access controls for our internal tools. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at hello@bildvue.com. You can opt out of analytics as described in Section 3, and you can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (for example, California residents may have rights to know, delete, and opt out of the "sale" of personal information — which we do not do). We will honor rights that apply to you; to exercise them, just contact us.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-Party Links
Our Site may link to third-party websites or tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above and post the updated policy here. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
